When a developer uses “inspired by” and the name of nearly any game from the Lucasarts golden age of adventure games, they can basically shut up and take my money. And the recently announced Olav & the Lute does just that.
Olav & the Loot is inspired by Loom, and has you take the role of Olav who wakes up and finds himself in a mysterious cave with a prophesy, a lute, and a giant loom-thing.
Each item in the game has a melodic essence, and you’ll need to use your lute to play that melody in order to progress. You’ll also be able to reverse some of the melodies to reverse the effect.
The developer hopes to make the game short, yet sweet, and hopes to have it released by August.
