The world premier trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was supposed to make its debut on Monday, but thanks to a slip-up, the trailer was leaked through the GamesRadar YouTube channel. It was pulled down shortly afterwards, but you know those Internet folks, and someone (or more likely, quite a few of them) posted the video to different parts of the Web, and now it’s here.

It’s an interesting trailer, to say the least. It has Black Beard talking about the new character we’ll be playing as, apparently telling of this strange pirate to a bar full of folks who may be interested in joining the stranger’s crew.

So, given the topic of the trailer, and given the fact that the trailer shows our character captaining his own ship and leading his men ashore, it may be fair to say that Assassin’s Creed IV will let you hire and command your own ship full of pirates.

Going by the trailer, we’ll also likely be able to go ashore to either venture through towns or go off into the wilds, and we’ll likely be participating in some highly awesome ship-to-ship battles.

We’ll have to wait to find out, however, but regardless, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will likely introduce some very unique gameplay elements to the series.

The game comes out Oct. 29, and will be on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC.
