If you’ve recently felt a disturbance in the force, it may be because millions of geeks suddenly cried out in joy. Valve and J.J. Abrams just announced they’re making a game, as well as films of Half-Life and Portal.

The announcement was made during the 2013 DICE Summit today, during the 25-minute storytelling discussion with Newell and Abrams.

Polygon confirmed the new projects during an interview with Abrams after the announcement. “It’s as real as anything in Hollywood ever gets,” he said, adding “Which is that we are really talking to Valve, we are going to be bringing on a writer, we have a lot of very interesting ideas.”

Also, for those who are wondering, the “new game” is not Half-Life 3. We all share the pain.
