First Island Unveiled for Indie Pirates: The Game
Wild Beauty Software, developer of Indie Pirates: The Game, released a video over the weekend showing their first island and a teaser of some of their ships. Indie Pirates: The Game is pirate simulator where players can fight, trade, pillage, and even fish, and the game is very loosely based on the 1987 version of Sid Meier’s Pirates! Designer Robert Jankovic describes the game, which is built on the Unity 3D engine, as a hybrid real-time strategy /role-playing game with a UI containing first-person shooter elements.
The Montenegro based Wild Beauty Software is currently a five-person team with members from Italy, India, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Indie Pirates: The Game, which will be available for PC, Mac, and Linux platforms, is in early development with no scheduled release date yet. More information and updates can be found at the company’s website.
