Mark Darrah, Executive Producer, released a cheeky letter announcing the third installment of the epic fantasy, Dragon Age. While extremely vague, we do know this much:

  • The title of the game will be Dragon Age III: The Inquisition. I didn’t expect that…
  • The original team that made the first two games are together again for the third, along with some new talent.
  • They are working on a new engine in hopes of knocking our socks off.
  • Lastly, mums the word. They are planning to feed us starving fans only a kibble here and there. Damn you Mark Darrah for playing with my nerdy emotions!

It seems this time, Bioware’s Dragon Age team is placing great importance on fan feedback. Hope, hope! We can only pray they truly do and there are no shades of Mass Effect 3′s dud conclusion.

The DA team also left us a first look at some promising concept art (see below).

As a huge fan of the first game—not so much the second—I can’t help but be a bit giddy.

Excited? Did the past games leave a bitter taste in your mouth? Any concerns? Have some ideas on the story-line?

Leave us your thoughts!

The concept art looks awesome. Hopefully they won’t try to make it too much like Skyrim :) but I’ll be interested to see where it goes.
