Uprising44: The Silent Shadows Combines RTS With Stealth Action
Being the self proclaimed first game to ever take place during the Warsaw Uprising—what the developers call “the greatest” civilian uprising against occupying Nazi forces—Uprising44: The Silent Shadows brings players not only to a unique corner of WWII, but also a unique playing style to boot.
The game has two game modes. Action Mode has players looking over the shoulder of characters from a small group of fighters as they ambush Nazis and fight their way through city streets. You’ll be taking cover, give orders to your team, and take on the Nazis with 16 different weapons. The characters you control are the Silent Shadows, which, according to the developers, were “paratroopers dropped behind enemy lines to organize resistance and use diversionary tactics in the fight against the forces of the Third Reich.”
The other game mode is an RTS game where you’ll be watching the combat through binoculars and issuing orders to your troops.
Uprising44: The Silent Shadows is currently available on Gamersgate for $14.99.
