The Dark Eye (TDE) is one of the best-known role-playing game brands in Europe, with popular pen & paper RPGs, and computer games based around it, and with the release of The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav on Steam, we can all now delve into its world of magic and mystery.

The point & click adventure game, released by Deep Silver and Daedalic Entertainment, brings players to the world of Aventuria, where they’ll journey across lands never before included in a TDE computer game.

A murder of crows has descended on the kingdom of Andergast, attacking people, and—they believe—bringing them nightmares as they sleep each night. You’ll take the role of Geron, a trapper hired to get rid of them. Yet there’s more to getting rid of the crows than you realized, and soon you’ll find yourself on an adventure that will take you to uncharted lands.

The game has fantastic, hand-drawn backgrounds, similar to The Whispering World, and it promises clever puzzles and a gripping story.

We’ll have a review up soon, so be sure to check back.
