sims 3 zombie attack

If you’ve ever wanted to see your Sims fend off a zombie attack, your wish has been granted. The latest expansion set, The Sims 3 Supernatural, brings players the eerie town of Moonlight Falls where they’ll be able to take a new course in life—becoming vampires, fairies, werewolves, and other supernatural creatures.

The lunar cycle will unveil some of the town’s oddities, and you’ll be able to find hidden lairs behind bookcases, mystical objects to interact with, and mysteries to unfold. The town also has to deal with the occasional zombie invasion.

“With a variety of deep and mysterious supernatural lifestyles to choose from, The Sims 3 Supernatural allows players to dive into powerful new gameplay that showcases a darker side of The Sims,” says Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio, in a press release. “This pack introduces a fresh perspective while maintaining the characteristic playfulness, humor and innovation of our studio.”

Character creation will be a bit more involved. You can customize wings for your fairies, the hairiness of your werewolves, and other traits. Also, according to the press release, “While playing as supernatural Sims, players will discover new abilities, traits, skills and interactions that enhance their gameplay, including delayed aging for fairies and vampires, innate magic channeling for witches, and lycanthropy for werewolves, which enables them to control their animal instincts and transform at will.”

In addition to fending off zombie invasions, you’ll also risk becoming one yourself. Your Sims will be able to experiment with spells, elixirs, charms, and hexes, ranging from career boosts to weight loss, to being turned into a brain-hungry monster shuffling around town. You can also share your concoctions with friends who have The Sims 3.

The Sims 3 Supernatural releases for the PC and Mac in September, and players who pre-order their copy get the limited edition copy with an exclusive Plants vs. Zombies content pack.

“fending off zombies”… incorrect. Unless you have the stupid plant vs zombies add on so that you can buy some stupid plant that will shoot at the zombies, there is no effective way to fight the zombies in this game. Even with that add on, they are relentless. You have to play with the sound off as the groaning and screeching of the relentless zombies makes it intolerable. Your characters cannot eliminate them, cannot reduce their population, cannot limit them in any way, and they will occur wherever your character goes. You cannot have outdoor activity at all without that ruining it and there is no way to succeed – no way to deal with them. I am probably the biggest fan of zombie fiction in the world, but this game is ruined in that EA did not think this through, and added this element with no way to actually work it into the game, and no way for the player to even choose that element, though they can choose to include or exclude any other supernatural creature from the game. The reason for this is that EA struck a deal with plants vs zombies and therefore without consideration for whether the game would actually be playable or in anyway fun, have pushed this element down unwitting game players throats. Go read the forums and you will see LOTS of people are fed up and disappointed. With all due resepct Joshua, I wonder how much thought or reseach really went into your review ( paid promotion?).
