Bringing the fight to their homeland, developers Bohemia Interactive have announced the next addition to the Arma 2 DLC lineup; Arma 2: Army of the Czech Republic.

The new DLC will feature a new and compelling storyline along with authentically modeled units and vehicles in expansive environments. Everything will be modeled directly from the modern day Czech Armed Forces and their various roles and deployments.

The storyline follows the end of a civil war that takes place in Bystrica. The Czech Republic’s military is sent to restore what Colonel Miyovic, a ruthless war criminal, has destroyed. After liberating parts of Takistan; allied units are sent to bring order to the nation is despair as the rebels fight to continue their reign.

  • Czech Army – Bolster the Arma sandbox with a range of authentic Czech Army units and vehicles, including the L-159 Alca, Pandur II, and Dingo infantry mobility vehicle
  • Authentic Weapons – Pick from a range of new weapons, including those developed with Česká Zbrojovka a.s.: CZ 805 BREN, CZ Scorpion EVO III and CZ 75 PHANTOM
  • Diverse Missions – Deploy across 15 new missions in the singleplayer campaign, scenarios and procedural template gameplay modes
  • Verdant Environments – Explore the two new summer-season terrains: Bystrica and Bukovina

Preorders for the DLC will begin today at the BiStudio Store. Arma 2: Army of the Czech Republic DLC is set for release in Q3 2012 as a PC exclusive.
