EA really knows how to take us down memory lane. One of the latest “Syndicate” trailers brings back the original “Syndicate” that ran on DOS, with its top-down view and its trenchcoat-wearing, corporate cyborg soldiers.

The game was “Grand Theft Auto” before we ever heard of Vice City, and agents could hop in cars, and do as they pleased on the city streets while on their way to an objective. There was only one sequel, “Syndicate Wars,” before the series went into the dark—which was surprising given the game’s popularity.

As EA puts it, the games were a “cyberpunk wonderland.”

But anyone who remembers either game is quick to notice that the upcoming high-tech title looks little like the classic games.

This video clears up concern that the old Syndicate world, and all its classic game mechanics, are obsolete in the upcoming first-person shooter. EA states the game has a four-player co-op campaign “re-imagined from the original game,” in addition to its single-player campaign.

Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you
know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly.
I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it
in two different internet browsers and both show the same outcome.
